An Evening with Robin Axelrod Sabag, author of Strong Girls, Strong Parents

Robin Axelrod Sabag, LCSW, MFT, author of Strong Girls, Strong Parents, a Guide to Raising Teenage Girls in a New Era is a clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist who has been helping teens and their families improve their communication skills and build stronger family bonds. For over fifteen years, Sabag has worked in a variety of settings, including residential treatment centers and outpatient settings and in private practice. As an adjunct professor at Temple University and sought-after mental health expert, the author often speaks and writes on the topic of teenage girls. In addition, Sabag has appeared on television offering advice on how to discuss hate crimes with children. Books will be available for purchase.  Held at the RML REcollection, 167 W. Jackson Hole Wild on Tour Conservation Film Series

Radnor Memorial Library, along with its partners Radnor Conservancy and Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, invite you to our winter conservation film series that features 3 award-winning films that will be screened at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, located at 631 Berwyn Baptist Road, in Devon. Admission is free and registration is not required.

January’s film selection is Mind of a Giant.   Mind of a Giant explores what it is like to be an elephant, as revealed by revolutionary new research. As scientists struggle to find out how many elephants are left in Africa, they discover intriguing new behavior. We are discovering that elephants must be considered one of the most clever and complex creatures on the planet. They exhibit empathy, grief, joy, fear, and more emotions. They have self-awareness, can cooperate, and pass on information and adapt to solve problems in ways we never knew.

February’s film selection is Genius by Stephen Hawking.   Professor Stephen Hawking reveals our true potential in a radical new science show which challenges a selection of volunteers and the viewer to think like the greatest geniuses of the past and answer some of humanity’s toughest and most enduring questions. We’ll learn about the Geniuses whose discoveries helped build our Scientific Knowledge and allowed us to solve questions like “Where are we?” “Are we alone?” and “Can we travel through time?”
